These photographs were taken on a Good Friday Walk of Witness.  All churches in Timperley take part

in an annual Walk of Witness setting out from one of the churches and walking into Timperley Village

for an open air service.

The photos show a service with musical accompaniment by our very own Richard Peach and Lesley Nelson

ABOUT CHURCHES TOGETHER IN TIMPERLEY

Churches Together in Timperley (CTiT) is made up of 5 local churches:

Christ Church (Church of England),  Holy Cross Church (Church of England), Timperley Methodist Church, Timperley Congregational Church, St Hugh's and St John R.C.Church,

These churches came together by Covenant in May 1988.

Part of the pledge that was made then, and which is still applicable today, is as follows:

Recognising our fundamental unity as Christians and our responsibility together to advance the Kingdom of God within Timperley we pledge ourselves

To joint prayer and worship in order to learn from each other and value and respect each other’s spiritual traditions.

To meet to explore our mutual Christian convictions and their practical applications.

To share and co-operate in pastoral concerns where applicable and to work as a team, caring for others in the community.

To co-operate in Christian witness and concern for God’s world.

Representatives from each of the churches meet regularly to seek a common mind and make decisions together.  Joint activities and worship services are held several times during the year.
