Luncheon Circle

Luncheon Circle

The Luncheon Circle meets on a Friday at noon in the Church Coffee Lounge at our Trinity Hale building, Cecil Road.  Hot meals and friendship are extended to approximately forty people each week both from the church and in the wider community.

PlateA valuable contribution by members & friends of Altrincham United Reformed Church is the work carried out by dedicated volunteers. We still have many of our original helpers but we do need more help both in the kitchen and with transport. We ask helpers to assist one Friday morning a month, (though the Luncheon Circle takes place every Friday) and it would be lovely if more willing helpers could commit themselves to this worthwhile service. We are a happy bunch and enjoy what we do so please come and join us - you will be amply rewarded by the appreciation of those we serve.

We are currently seeking to create a list of people who would be willing to place their name on a ‘Reserve List’ so that in the event of any shortage of assistance additional occasional help would be available.

If would like to help either on a regular rota basis or reserve list basis or you wish to find out more about the possibilities of helping please contact Fiona Brown through the church office on 0161 929 9747.

Luncheon Circle Celebrates

The Luncheon Circle came into being on the 17th April 1986.  It was formed to give a service to the general public as well as to our Church members.  There are many elderly people as well as those living on their own who benefit from this service.  There is a small charge of £3.00 per meal and for this diners receive a hot main course, a pudding and a drink.   Perhaps most important of all is the convivial company enjoyed by diners.
